FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about how we work, what it costs, and how we help families near and far. Don’t see your question? Just call.

What do you do?

Estate sales are the only thing we do, and that is the point. We stage, price, advertise, and run the sale, then hand you a written settlement and a certified check. We aim to sell every item, so everything is priced to sell and get you the most. We never buy, take, or haul away your belongings.

What areas do you serve?

Kingman, Bullhead City, and Lake Havasu City each have a page. For any other Mohave County city, call and ask before you count on coverage. Out-of-state families can arrange the same hourly estate sale; that is explained on the remote page.

Can you run a sale if I live out of state?

Yes. Most of the families we serve do. We send a video walkthrough, photograph everything, call with daily updates during the sale, and mail a certified check and a detailed inventory at the end. You never have to fly to Kingman.

How much does an estate sale cost?

$120 an hour for the whole team (not per worker). There is no setup fee and no commission, and we do not take a commission from the sale. We estimate the hours up front after a $120 consultation, and most sales land between 20 and 60 hours. See our pricing page for the full breakdown.

How fast can you start?

We respond within 24 hours, often within two. A sale usually has about a two-week planning runway from walkthrough to sale day, depending on the size of the estate and how much sorting and staging it needs.

What happens to items that don’t sell?

Whatever does not sell stays yours, to keep or donate as you choose. Estate sales are all we do, so we never buy your leftovers or haul them away to resell. A company that also offers buyouts or hauls things off can have an incentive to keep what does not sell; we only run the sale, so we are glad to point you to local donation options but we never take it.

What is your BBB rating?

Taylor Family Store LLC is A+ rated on BBB and is not BBB Accredited. We do not claim to be insured on this site.

Is the phone call free?

Yes. Start with a free phone call. The call is not a booking and it is not billed.

What does the consultation cost, and how long is it?

A one-hour on-site estate consultation costs $120. If you book an estate sale with us within 30 days, we credit the full $120 against your first invoice.

How does the $120 credit work?

If you book an estate sale with us within 30 days, we credit the full $120 against your first invoice. The credit is not a refund, and it is not the same thing as holding a sale date.

How are estate sales billed?

Hourly, at the published rate of $120 an hour for the whole team (not per worker) for the estate-sale work, including staffed sale days. That is not a flat fee for the whole estate. We do not take a commission from sale proceeds. Hours are estimated in writing after the consultation. The page does not state a per-person rate, a minimum, or a travel fee.

Do you buy estates or do cleanouts?

No. We do not offer estate buyouts, cash offers, cleanouts, junk removal, or hauling. Unsold items stay with the family.

How do I get started?

Call (928) 385-8413 or send the short form on the contact page. Use the consultation page only when you are ready to book the paid one-hour on-site visit.
