Estate service

Estate Sales in Kingman, AZ

Taylor Family Store runs hourly estate sales. We stage, price, advertise, and run the sale, then settle with a written statement and a certified check. The rate is $120 an hour for the whole team (not per worker), including staffed sale days. It is not a flat fee for the estate. On a $20,000 estate, a 45% commission is $9,000. Taylor Family Store takes $0 of it. Unsold items stay with the family. We do not buy leftovers, haul them, or promise a broom-clean house.

Pricing is where a sale wins or loses. We price from real resale-market data, so the right items get the right money and nothing valuable walks out for a dollar. And because we never buy or haul away what is left, we have no reason to overprice an item so it does not sell.

That is the difference worth understanding. A company that also offers buyouts or hauls away the leftovers can profit from the things that do not sell, by taking them cheap or reselling them later. We only run the sale, so our only incentive is to sell your things for the most we can.

We advertise on EstateSales.org, Facebook, and our own buyer list, run checkout and security on sale days, and call out-of-state families daily. You get a written settlement and a certified check. Whatever does not sell stays yours, to keep or donate; we are glad to point you to local donation options, but we never take it.

Estate Sales: common questions

What commission do you charge for an estate sale?

None at all. We do not take a percentage of your sale. We charge $120 an hour for the whole team (not per worker) for the work, with no setup fee, and we do not take a commission from the sale. Hours are estimated up front after a $120 consultation. See our pricing page for the full breakdown.

How long does it take to set up a sale?

A typical planning runway is about two weeks from walkthrough to sale day, depending on the size of the estate and how much sorting and staging it needs.

Can you run a sale if I live out of state?

Yes. We document the contents, send you a video walkthrough, call with daily updates during the sale, and mail a detailed inventory and certified check at the end.

What happens to what does not sell?

It stays yours. Estate sales are all we do, so we never buy your leftovers or haul them away to resell. You keep whatever does not sell, and we are happy to point you to local donation options if you would like to give it away.

What families say

What do Mohave County families say about Taylor Family Store?

Taylor Family Store holds 4.7 stars from 24 Google reviews. The three below came from families who ran an Arizona estate from out of state.

Chris and his wife Katie were a godsend when I was left handling my father's estate. He lived in Arizona and I am in Michigan, so that put a whole new layer of difficulty on the situation. They were so accommodating and helpful, very quick to get back to me. Chris has been in constant contact with me every step of the way. I could not recommend them enough.

We came from out of state after the passing of my father-in-law. Chris and Katie were kind, compassionate, understanding, and followed through with everything they said they would do. Communication was constant from start to finish. Our family truly appreciates you taking care of us during a very difficult time.

Christopher and Katie did an excellent job with our estate sale. We felt very confident in their honesty and professionalism. We were out of state at the time, but Christopher called every day updating us. We received a very thorough, detailed inventory at the end with a certified check. I highly recommend their services.
